Hi BC Rescues and Shelters—Welcome! 🐾

We know you’re on the front lines every day, doing the heavy lifting for animals in our communities. As part of our 2025–2030 Strategic Plan, the BC SPCA is committed to a future where animals and people thrive together — and we recognize that we cannot do this work alone. By prioritizing preventative tools like permanent identification, we can address the root causes of animal suffering and ease the pressure on our province’s busy shelters. We look forward to collaborating with rescues and community partners to ensure every pet has a voice and a safe path back home.

Why This Program Is a Game-Changer

  • Empty Your Kennels Faster: A microchip is a “forever ticket” home. Increasing your Return to Owner rates means less time in a high-stress shelter environment for the animals.
  • Slash Operational Costs: When you expedite reunions, you drastically lower daily operational costs (like food, boarding, and cleaning). This critical budget relief allows you to put those vital funds back into where it matters most: medical care, behavioral rehabilitation, and saving more lives.
  • Strengthen the BC Rescue Network: By joining this subsidized initiative, you’re part of a province-wide safety net that keeps families together and reduces animal homelessness.

🚨 A Note on Urgency We want to support as many of you as possible, but please keep in mind that program funding is limited. These subsidies are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Don’t wait—secure your spot now to ensure your rescue has the tools it needs before the next busy season hits!
