The BC Pet Registry Grant Program enables participating veterinarians and animal sheltering agencies to provide free microchips (bundled with Lifetime registrations) to pets with low-income guardians. Other activities considered for eligibility are public microchip clinics, spay/neuter initiatives, and feral cat identification initiatives.

All interested parties must be existing BC Pet Registry Community Partners (enrolled with a BC Pet Registry account) and be in good standing in regards to invoices. In applying to the BC Pet Registry Grant Program, your organization also agrees that any information submitted regarding the details about your event or program may be used for marketing purposes.

All microchips registered with the BC Pet Registry are traceable internationally via the American Animal Hospital Association’s (AAHA) universal pet microchip lookup, petmicrochiplookup.org. This partnership means that you and your pet can travel with confidence!
The BC Pet Registry is owned and operated by The British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BC SPCA). All proceeds from this program support the life-saving work performed everyday at BC SPCA locations throughout the province.
